

Participation in the International Scientific Conference at the University of Naples, Italy
The Vice Dean, Associate Professor Dr Halim Bajraktari from the Faculty of Law, together with master’s level student Fatlind Mazreku from the Faculty of Computer Science at the University “Ukshin Hoti” in Prizren, took part in the International Scientific Conference titled AI, Communication and European Democracy: Challenges and Future Developments. The conference was organized by the University of Naples L’Orientale in cooperation with the International Conference of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence AI-CoDED and was co funded by the European Union.
They presented their research paper entitled Legal Accountability in Institutional Automated Decision Making: Gaps, Risks and Framework Disconnections alongside selected contributions from some of the world’s most prestigious universities including University of Cambridge, University of Utrecht, University of Basel, University of Pisa, University of California Berkeley Law, University of Perugia, University of Turin, University of Pavia, China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing and King’s College London among others.
The representatives of the University “Ukshin Hoti” in Prizren were highly commended for the quality and clarity of their presentation, which stimulated meaningful academic and scientific discussion. The conference was held on 12 and 13 February 2026 in Naples, Italy. The University of Naples “Federico II” and the University of Naples L’Orientale are among the oldest Italian universities, founded in 1224 and ranking second in historical establishment after the University of Bologna.
Participation in this conference represents a distinguished selection as the only representatives from the region. The delegation from the University “Ukshin Hoti” agreed on strengthening academic cooperation between Italian and Kosovar institutions in order to further develop research capacities and academic collaboration for staff and students at both universities. It is also noteworthy that Professor Bajraktari expressed readiness to advance institutional cooperation, with the intention that the University of Naples L’Orientale and the University “Ukshin Hoti” in Prizren move forward with the signing of a formal cooperation agreement.
