About Our Guest Speaker:
Dževad Mahmutović is a full professor in the Department of Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He holds degrees in criminology and law, has passed the bar exam, and obtained a master’s degree in criminology. He also earned a Ph.D. in law, with his teaching and research interests encompassing criminal law, misdemeanor law, criminology, penology, victimology, and international criminal law. Professor Mahmutović completed his doctoral dissertation on the topic War Crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Punishment and Reparations. He is the author and co-author of nine books and has published over 30 scientific and professional papers. Additionally, he has actively participated in numerous scientific and research projects, as well as national and international conferences. Beyond his work at the Faculty of Law, University of Tuzla, Professor Mahmutović has served as a visiting professor at several law faculties both within Bosnia and Herzegovina and internationally.
